SIR - The T&A reports (July 31) that there are serious concerns as to whether Bradford Council can afford to fund the Bradford Children's Trust.
The Trust took over the service from Bradford Council as a response to the Council's continued failings to improve children's services.
Considering the number of shambolic issues overseen by the Council in recent times one has to wonder how those still in charge feel it right to continue in office?
Chief Executive Kersten England was allowed to retire rather than be dismissed, when surely the buck should have stopped there on several occasions.
Likewise, how Labour Council leader Susan Hinchcliffe can continue in her position, having also been in charge throughout, defies belief.
Her continued presence does nothing for the image of our once great city.
