SIR- Michael Johnson (T&A letters, June 12) asks why I've only just mentioned Gary Lineker's small boats comments that date back to March 7.
But the point of my letter was to point out things that have happened much more recently including the RAF's 'useless white males' comment, which Lineker hasn't publicly mentioned. And interestingly, Mr Johnson didn't mention this and those other things either.
I also suspect that Mr Johnson isn't directly affected by the situation the Home Secretary is trying to sort out.
And since when are we not allowed to discuss things that happened three months ago or more? One letter writer once mentioned the Magna Carta which was 800 years ago.
