The winter weather has not left us yet, with snow and ice predicted across Bradford next week.

It comes after the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning for parts of the UK, meaning snow showers are likely to cause some disruption to travel with a small chance of more widespread disruption for some.

Although Bradford has not yet been issued a yellow weather warning, snow showers are expected from as early as late Monday evening (March 6), the Met Office has said.

When will it snow in Bradford?

Snow is predicted to fall on multiple days throughout the week, according to WX Charts.

Up to 1cm could fall on Tuesday (March 7), 4cm on Thursday (March 9) and 1cm on Saturday (March 11).

What does the Met Office say?

The Met Office said snow showers will predominantly impact northern and eastern areas; however, it will be cold across the UK, with widespread freezing conditions overnight.

Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Chris Almond, said: “Very cold air will spread across the UK from late on Sunday through early next week. This brings with it snow even to low levels in the north and east through Monday and Tuesday, and in excess of 10cm could accumulate, most likely on high ground in the north, but also settling for a time at lower levels.

“With freezing overnight temperatures and the risk of ice, there’s a risk of some travel disruption and wintry hazards are likely to persist through much of next week, even further south for a time, so keep an eye on the Met Office forecast for the latest information.”
