SIR - I read with interest the T&A report on August 10 with regards to Lister Park. We have the same problem at Wibsey Park where well-meaning people will leave full loaves or rice at the side of the lake, which is ideal for vermin.
Also about a week or so ago some people had a barbecue and left about about six carrier bags full of rubbish, as they couldn’t be bothered to take them to the bins.
I know Bradford Council try and keep parks as neat and tidy as possible. I know the Friends of Wibsey park have litter picking sessions every four to six weeks, but it’s up to all visitors to parks to have responsibility towards them.
