SIR - Cllr Debbie Davies (Cons, Baildon) said that "Bradford Council should stop seeing cars as the enemy...spending millions cutting traffic" (T&A, July 18). Her comments would, I suspect, have drawn agreement from many residents of the city.
What then was the response of Labour councillor Alex Ross-Shaw to all this? It was to describe it as "incomprehensible gibberish"
That comment, in my view, simply confirms that AR-S should have no place on the Council Executive, weak though it certainly is. There were many good and serious points in what Cllr Davies had to say, some of which mirror the thoughts of the community.
That so much is dismissed by Cllr Ross-Shaw clearly confirms his unsuitability for his current role.
