SIR - In February Cllr Hinchcliffe accused the chancellor of “economic illiteracy”. Cllr Pollard’s findings re the council’s budget and financial position (July 18) suggest that Cllr Hinchcliffe is a master of economic illiteracy.
Let us see who she blames for this latest farce? The costs of supporting children that our inept council has to farm out is put at over £26m out of a budget of £388m. Seven per cent of the budget to support around 0.02per cent of the population of Bradford.
This is unsustainable madness from a council unfit for purpose on any measure you wish to use.
