SIR - I would like to congratulate the team behind Bradford’s successful bid to attain the City of Culture award for 2025.

I have been a Bradford citizen since January 2000 and am truly elated that my adopted city is being given the opportunity to highlight the extraordinary talent, creativity and positive energy that exists amongst its different and diverse communities.

Bradford can look forward in eager anticipation to 2025 when the city’s rich heritage will be reflected in an array of events that will present Bradford in a positive light and put the city firmly on the map.
