SIR - Why is this fatuous dispute between Colleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy dubbed Wagatha Christie by the media?
I know WAG means footballers' wives and girlfriends but it's an awful term which I'm surprised women's rights put up with. And they're both wives, not girlfriends.
Apparently the Christie part is a reference to Mrs Rooney's sleuthing skills. But Christie wasn't a sleuth. Miss Marple and Poirot were sleuths. Agatha Christie was one of the all-time great novelists and must be turning in her grave being associated with this nonsense.
