SIR - Raphael Nadal's call for Russian tennis players to be allowed to compete at Wimbledon is wrong.

The Russian nation, by association, is collectively guilty of Putin's barbaric and senseless invasion of Ukraine. Until and unless they rise up collectively to rid their country of tyranny and oppression that emanates from the Kremlin then the finger of guilt will always be pointed at each and every Russian.

The exclusion of Russia from professional sport is right and proper; they have to feel the pain and anguish of their exclusion just as the innocent Ukrainian people are feeling pain as they flee from their homeland and bury their loved ones from Putin's Russian onslaught.
