SIR - It would appear that our current government is working on a strategy of remaining in power no matter what happens to the country under their stewardship.

We have a PM who finds it virtually impossible to speak without lying, a Foreign Secretary with a remarkable lack of geographical knowledge and a Home Secretary who cannot deal with the very basics surrounding immigration and asylum seekers.

With a number of ministers, including the PM under police investigation, yet refusing to step aside, we could be likened to any Banana Republic or Soviet era state.

I think that it's high time that decent Tory MPs (yes, there still are some) took the bull by the horns and unseated Johnson and his motley crew of sycophantic wasters, and failing that, our only hope is for the ordinary people of the UK to rise up and take to the streets.
