SIR - The Paris prosecutor's office has received a manslaughter lawsuit from the French humanitarian organisation Utopia 56 (T&A, December 22).
This accuses French and British rescue services of failing to offer sufficient help to at least 27 people who perished in the Channel recently.
Well, conversely perhaps lawsuits should be started against all those who put to sea in flimsy boats in the Channel and consequently put at risk the lives of those in the rescue services. This cannot all be a one way thing.
