West Yorkshire Police receive 120 inappropriate 999 calls a day
SIR - According to West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre they receive 120 inappropriate calls each day on the 999 emergency line (T&A, November 22).
Surely the vast majority of these callers should be prosecuted for wasting police time? The issue is far too important to pussyfoot about with these idiots.
