SIR - Your article Bradford urged to become the 'capital city of railways' (October 10) says much of Bradford’s current woes.

We are, in effect, begging for scraps the result of the ineptitude of local politicians bereft of ideas and skills to attract business to Bradford.

It also smacks of headline grabbing; my local councillor should focus on the local issues she was elected on. Equally, Hapless Hinchcliffe continues to have more than one eye on her next career move rather than attempt to address the numerous issues Bradford faces.

Ironically, they are both poor imitations of Boris - make it sound great and more than enough will believe; both are delusionary.
