SIR - Claire Holdsworth is absolutely right. (T&A letters, August 23). What is the point of live bus times at bus stops when buses just don’t turn up ?
Our bus services are absolutely terrible. Buses don’t turn up, routes are cut, fares go up and up.Tickets bought on one company cannot be used on the buses of another company, requiring a further payment.
Time to bring the buses back under local authority control. Run the buses for the people who use them, not for the profit of the private bus companies.
