SIR - So, after squeezing as much as they can out of Ilkley through parking charges, Bradford Council is now starting to levy charges at Bingley St Ives.
Whilst it's only a fairly small area almost every corner is to be charged (T&A, July 21). Not a great encouragement for anyone to enjoy the great outdoors there.
What a contrast with Leeds City Council where there is extensive free parking at their excellent Golden Acre Park and at Yeadon Tarn.
Chalk and cheese comes to mind.
