VOTERS across the Bradford District went to the polls yesterday - but the results will not be known until over the weekend.
Every voter in District had the chance to cast their vote for someone to represent their ward on Bradford Council, as well as a say on who should be the first elected Mayor of West Yorkshire.
In some areas people were also voting for town and parish councillors. And in the Haworth and Steeton and Silsden areas residents voted in a referendum on now Local Plans for the neighbourhood.
Votes are usually counted the next day, but this year the District Council votes will be counted on Saturday from 10am, with results expected for different wards throughout the day.
The West Yorkshire Mayoral election count will take place on Sunday.
