THE vaccine rollout has been nothing short of a miracle. While there are many champions to celebrate in achieving this giant feat, the NHS deserve special acknowledgement. My mother has been working as one of the many volunteers who have worked alongside the NHS to help with the rollout. Her overwhelming takeaway from the enterprise is how remarkably well-organised and impressive NHS staff have been in executing such an endeavour. In light of this, it is regret that I see Robbie Moore MP has tweeted three times over the past month celebrating the vaccine stats but without a single mention of the NHS – in fact, two of his tweets are branded exclusively with a partisan logo. Such cynical manoeuvring prior to a local election is not a good look. Surely more explicit support for the front line workers of the NHS should be more forthcoming.
