FOUR 17-year-old friends are hoping to raise £7,000 to enable them to volunteer within deprived communities in Sri Lanka this summer. Mia Rose-Fall, Mia Proctor, Becky Davies and Liv Wills, have been friends since they started at Ilkley Grammar School in Year 7 and all still attend IGS with the exception of Mia Rose-Fall who is a business administrator apprentice.
They sourced a company called Plan my Gap year for the Sri Lanka volunteering trip.
They said: “As part of the trip we will be volunteering in schools, hospitals, renovation centres and wildlife conservation centres across the country. In order to fund our trip we will be climbing the Three Peaks together in May and also doing various other fundraising events. No matter how big or small your donations is we all thank you so much for helping to benefit individuals that are nowhere near as privileged as we are. “
