WHY do some people in Ilkley think it is okay to dump a disposable one-wear mask into the streets and not into a nearby bin?

From my home on Leeds Roads to the Post Office on Tuesday, there were five of them on the ground. They are a nightmare form of mask because with being made of plastic and rubber in them, they don’t decompose so someone has to pick them up, usually a fellow citizen of Ilkley who cares about the look of the town.

Can I suggest that mask is taken home, put it in a bag of some sort as recommended by Public Health England and on the back of the packet, and then disposed of responsibly.
