Rail services are operating again between Leeds and Bradford/Skipton/Ilkley following disruption caused by a fallen tree.

All rail services on the route were suspended for several hours, but the line has now fully re-opened and trains are running - though delays can be expected until further notice.

Northern customers are advised to allow additional time for any journeys and to check ahead before travelling.

Disruption on the route between Leeds and Harrogate is ongoing and customers are still advised not to travel on this line.

A spokesperson for Northern, said: “Our thanks to Network Rail for their assistance in clearing the fallen tree which has allowed us to return services to the line this evening.

"We'd also like to thank our customers in Yorkshire for their patience and understanding while the work was carried out.”
