DESPITE lockdown an Ilkley cafe will still be celebrating an anniversary this weekend by offering its customers a celebratory home-cooked three course meal.

On Saturday, November 28 Claire Hundsdoerfer will be marking nine years of running The Little Teahouse in Ilkley.

Usually at this time of year, Claire and her team come up with a celebratory food and drinks menu and open up on a Saturday evening as a Bistro - something they have always enjoyed doing and which has gained real momentum over the last few years.

This year things will be done a little differently due to their forced closure. Claire will be offering a three course set meal and a small selection of drinks which can be either delivered locally or can be collected by people living further afield. The initiative will be an extension of the doorstep delivery menu she introduced when the business was forced to close in March and which has remained popular with local residents.

Claire said: "Our customers have continued to be extremely loyal to us by supporting us however they can, including ordering from our newly-established doorstep delivery menu. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity of celebrating the milestone of nine years and thought there was no reason why our customers couldn’t recreate a little piece of The Little Teahouse in their own home. It’s simple, you just have to pop the starter and main course in the oven and then pour yourself a glass of wine to enjoy whilst it cooks.”

In addition to the Bistro Menu, The Little Teahouse will be offering a limited-edition Sparkling Afternoon Tea in a Box which can be pre-ordered for local delivery or for collection.
