THE Grove Bookshop in Ilkley is having to be innovative in the way it runs its author events due to current Covid-19 restrictions.
Mike Sansbury manager of the independent bookshop at 10 The Grove said: “In these strange times we are trying to keep everything going by exploring new avenues, and one of these is the use of Zoom for author events.
“We have a Zoom event on October 22nd at 7.30pm with TV archaeologist and historian Mary-Ann Ochota to mark the launch of her new book, Secret Britain.
“The book unearths Britain’s seventy-five most intriguing mysteries; buried treasure, stone circles and geoglyphs, and it includes Stonehenge, the caves of Gower, the mummies of the Hebrides and Ilkley Moor.
“Tickets for this Zoom event are £6, and the book retails at £20, but anyone buying the book and subscribing to the event will pay just £20.”
The event is being held in collaboration with Frances Lincoln Publishing Ltd.
