SINGERS and performers in Wharfedale and Aireborough are being asked to help create a new series of musical mosaics.

Musicians, choirs and spoken word artists from across Leeds are being asked to contribute towards a ‘stunning soundscape’ that will be unveiled at Leeds City Museum.

The Sounds Good installation will explore the impact music can have on our moods and will include a piece that has been created by people living with dementia, supported by artist Paul Digby.

After being joined together by a sound engineer each piece of contribued music will then form part of a larger audio exhibit that will fill the museum’s Brodrick Hall with ‘the sounds of Leeds’. Anyone wishing to submit a piece can send it as a video, MP3 or MP4. For more details send an e-mail to The submission deadline is Thursday, September 17 and Sounds Good will run from October 6 to 11.
