AN OTLEY school’s netball facilities have received an upgrade thanks to a donation.
Otley Lions recently presented Prince Henry’s Grammar School with £1,000 to pay for new netball posts that will be used by both students and Otley Netball Club.
The club, which trains on the school’s netball courts, has been able to return to training outside in ‘bubbles’ in recent weeks and the new netball goals will allow it to proceed with launching a junior section.
Faculty leader for PE at Prince Henry’s, Dave Curtis, said: “I am delighted Otley Lions chose to support the new partnership between Prince Henry’s and Otley Netball Club to launch a junior girls’ netball section. This has allowed us to replace unusable netball goals with brand new goals ready for the relaunch of the junior section in January, 2021.”
