THIS family of swans at Otley have been having a testing time.
The adults, currently looking after six cygnets, recently became separated from the chicks after they went over the lip of Otley Weir.
A number of passersby in Wharfemeadows Park saw the drama unfolding and tried to help.
The cygnets were eventually reunited with their parents thanks to someone who used a fishing landing net to scoop them up and drop them back above the weir.
