TWO more patients who tested positive for coronavirus have died at Airedale Hospital.

The Trust said the deaths occurred on April 15.

It brings the total number at the hospital to 43.

A statement from NHS England said: "A further 738 people, who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 13,134.

"Patients were aged between 32 and 101 years old and 30 of the 738 patients (aged between 34 and 92 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

"Their families have been informed."

Nationally the number of deaths recorded since yesterday is 847, taking the UK's total to 14,576.

Airedale Hospital has been asked for an update on the number of patients who have been treated for the virus at the hospital since the outbreak began, how many remain having treatment and how many have been discharged.
