CHILDREN at Moorfield School and Nursery in Ilkley have been busy celebrating the Hindu festival of Holi.
A school and nursery spokeswoman said: “At Moorfield School and Nursery we have children from various ethnicities and religious beliefs, so we always put huge importance on celebrating festivals from other cultures.
“Last week we celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi, starting off by creating a life size elephant for the Jaipur Elephant Festival.
“We ended the week by running amongst coloured powder paints to welcome in the season of Spring and the wonderful colours that nature will provide for us over the next few months.
“Happy Holi everyone!”
