VOLUNTEERS from The Friends of Ilkley Moor have been busy cleaning Ilkley Paddling Pool.
During the recent floods and heavy rain, the paddling pool on Ilkley Moor, and the surrounding path, had become clogged with a huge amount of mud and debris.
A large group of volunteers from the Friends of Ilkley Moor spent last Tuesday cleaning the pool and its surrounds.
The pool still needs some additional work, but, says Owen Wells, chairman of the Friends of Ilkley Moor said: “It is immeasurably better than it was, and we hope that if, and when, warm weather arrives, it will be in a suitable state for children and families to play.
“We are, as always, indebted to our enthusiastic volunteers.”
