A DONATION is music to the ears of Airedale Hospital’s cancer unit.
Members of a ladies’ choir have visited the Steeton site to present a £500 cheque.
The money was raised at a seasonal concert held by Ladies Please, a Menston-based choir.
There was also a raffle.
Pat Dyminski – the lead clinical nurse specialist for haematology, oncology and chemotherapy at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust – said: “We’re really grateful for this generous donation, which we will use to update equipment on our hospital unit as well as on the mobile cancer unit.
“I would like to thank the choir for raising the money for us.”
Since it was formed in 2004, the 24-member four-part harmony choir has raised more than £10,000 for various charities.
