TWO cousins have thanked the farming community for helping them raise more than £1,200 for charity.

Finley Croft and Josh Clarkson, both 14, started 2020 by having their heads shaved for Cancer Research UK. Their sponsorship money, along with proceeds from the sale of two lambs at Wharfedale Farmers Auction Mart in Otley, raised £1,244.

Finley, who attends Skipton Academy, and Upper Wharfedale School student Josh would like to thank everyone who supported them and especially Will Rathmell, who bought the lambs, and auctioneer Ian Smith.

Many of their sponsors came from the farming community and the boys handed over a cheque to Cancer Research UK at the Otley auction mart on Monday, February 17 when Local Fundraising Manager Kathryn Leverett thanked them for their ‘amazing’ efforts.
