THE CONSERVATIVES have named their Ilkley candidate for this Spring’s Bradford Council elections.

The party’s Keighley and Ilkley Association has chosen local resident David Nunns to stand in the Ilkley ward in May.

He said: “I’m pleased to be able to work with - existing Conservative Councillors for Ilkley - Mike Gibbons and Councillor Kyle Green to make Ilkley a better place to live, work, and raise a family. I’ll be supporting business, standing up against bad Bradford parking policy, and working to reduce the number of passenger planes which fly over Ilkley.”

Cllr Gibbons, who is Chair of the Keighley and Ilkley Conservatives Association, said he was ‘thrilled with the high quality of candidates standing for us in this year’s local elections’.

He added: “I’ll be working to support them in their respective campaigns and can see the drive, enthusiasm, and passion they have for bringing about positive change in their areas.”
