THE Ilkley Manor House has been one of the locations for the filming of an upcoming movie biopic of the life and exploits of the notorious 18th century highwayman Dick Turpin.
“English Outlaw: The Story Of Dick Turpin” is a production by West Yorkshire based movie company DAG Productions and is intended for release in autumn 2020.
Producers Lynne Harvey and Warwick St John have been delighted to film scenes at the Ilkley Manor House and are very proud to provide this wonderful local attraction with an international audience upon the movie’s release.
Ilkley Manor House is closed during January to enable a revamp of the customer toilets and kitchen facilities to go ahead. It means the Manor House will be able to be hired out for celebratory events and weddings.
The house re-opens on February 1.
