THERE are just two more weekends to buy festive gifts crafted by local artists at the Solar Gallery in Ilkley’s historic Manor House.
The gifts give a flavour of the work being created by the 30 artists who form the Solar collective. This is in addition to the current exhibition on display entitled “Drawing In” which features a wide variety of media, including painting, lino-cuts, textiles, prints, ceramics, glass and photography.
The Solar Gallery opened a year ago as part of a drive to re-kindle an artist’s hub in the Manor House and has been staging a rolling programme of exhibitions since then. “Drawing In” continues until Sunday, December 22, opening from 11am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The Manor House closes for January, reopening on Saturday February 1, when the Solar Gallery launches its next exhibition called “Awakening”.
