PARLIAMENTARY candidates are to spell out their plans are for tackling climate change at a hustings in Otley.
The environment-focused event takes place at the Otley Town Partnership’s upstairs room, on Mercury Row, from 1.30pm to 3pm on Saturday, November 30.
Members of the public are invited to attend and put their questions directly to the individuals who are vying to become the next MP for Leeds North West. The meeting has been organised by Otley Town Councillor Mick Bradley (Green, Danefield). He said: “While the parties may differ on Brexit they are all making promises to act on climate change.
“What do you think needs to happen and how quickly? You can hear the candidates outline what actions they propose, ask questions and decide for yourself what is required.”
All of the candidates who are standing have been invited and Cllr Bradley has asked for the event to be chaired by someone with no party political affiliations.
