THREE charities - The Autism Society, Christians Against Poverty and Christchurch, Ilkley- will share proceeds in excess of £3,850 – the result of the 6th Jigsaw Festival held last week at Christchurch, Ilkley.
This was an increase of nearly £900 over last year’s Jigfest total.
The event, over three days, was a success socially as well as financially.
People came from miles around – and from as far afield as Cambridge.
An event like this doesn’t just happen – it takes a lot of planning and effort from a lot of people.
One of the planning group said: “We are very grateful to several jigsaw manufacturers and retailers for their generous sponsorships.
“We couldn’t have done any of this without all those people who throughout the year have donated 1,200 jigsaws and/or made them up.”
