A NEW twist on a classic tale of terror is coming to Otley.

Little Frankenstein will be performed at Otley Courthouse on Saturday, November 2 - just a couple of days after Halloween.

The play follows semi- famous puppeteer Frank Stein who is despairing over the state of his badly made puppets, which keep falling apart.

Taking inspiration from his fictional namesake - Mary Shelley’s scientist Victor Frankenstein - and with the help of the audience, Frank creates a new live puppet that is set to change his life forever.

‘Creature George’ emerges from the workshop innocent and keen to learn.

But Frank neglects to look after his new child, which has far-reaching consequences...

Little Frankenstein is described as ‘a gentle horror for litter horrors’ that will ‘tickle the imagination of everyone from five to 105 years old’.

The play, presented by Lempen Puppet Theatre, runs from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and tickets cost £7 for children and £9 for adults.

Places can be booked by visiting www.otleycourthouse.org.uk, calling (01943) 467466 or popping into the Courthouse on Courthouse Street, Otley.
