ARMED robbers targeted a Co-op in Ilkley on Saturday night.

Two suspects, armed with a knife and a baseball bat, entered the Co-op store on Bolton Bridge Road, Ilkley, at around 10.15pm on Saturday, September 7.

It is believed a quantity of cash was taken.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are investigating a report of a robbery at the Co-op store in Bolton Bridge Road, Ilkley at about 10.15pm on Saturday.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101 or use the reporting options on the West Yorkshire Police website. The crime reference is 13190459620.

"Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers."

No members of staff were physically injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Co-op said: “I can confirm that a robbery took place at our Bolton Bridge Road store at around 10.30 on Saturday (7 September) evening.  CCTV coverage has been shared with the Police, who are investigating, and we would ask anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

“We work closely with Police and crime prevention bodies, and implement a range of measures designed to deter and disrupt criminal behaviour.”
