THE organisers, (James and Heather O’Brien of Westwood Rise, Ilkley) have announced that this year’s Summer’s End Charity Stomp will be held at Ilkley Lawn Tennis Club on Friday, September 20th, 7pm until midnight.

Last year was a sell-out and over £1,000 was raised for local children’s charities. The organisers were amazed by the response from local small businesses in Ilkley and environs that donated generous prizes for the raffle and, this year, it’s been even better. The target is to raise £1,500

The event features three local bands, ‘Ginger & Roger’, duo performing contemporary classics, ‘Undercover’, a great ‘covers’ band, ‘Tumblin’ Dice’, a five piece band performing Soul, R & B and Rock ‘n’ Roll music. A ‘Digital DJ’ will round off the night playing classic dance tunes of the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s until the ‘midnight hour’.

A spokesperson said: "The emphasis is to have a good old stomp! There is a supper included in the ticket price of £14 and all proceeds go to the charities (Nell Bank children’s activity centre, Ilkley, and Burnsall Primary school,- for out door facilities).

"The artists, organisers, helpers and assorted ‘hangers on’ not only give their services free but also contribute financially to the charities." For tickets email Heather at heather@boxergifts.com or by phone / text 07973 666797.
