Today our Remember When feature heads back to the 1960s. A time when some of the most radical changes had been made to Bradford’s topography, known as the Wardley era.

Although Stanley Wardley’s plans for the redevelopment of Bradford city centre were first unveiled in 1953. It wasn’t until after his death in 1965 that most of his visions were realised.
