MAYFIELD View, Ilkley’s newest care home, opened its doors to welcome the Ilkley community to a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party recently.
The event featured a fun residents' baking session along with much laughter and drinking of tea surrounded by themed decorations and topped off with a “design-a-cake” competition judged by Stray FM’s Nick Hancock.
Impressed by the number and quality of entries, Nick eventually chose a winner from the Ben Rhydding Primary School entries.
The care home offers residential, nursing and dementia care.
Home Manager Suzanne McPadden, who recently relocated to the area to take up the role, said: “The event was a real joy, to share events like these with the community for the benefit of our residents, their families and local people is my absolute passion.”
Mayfield View Care Home is part of a multi-million pound expansion programme by Springfield Healthcare Group, one of Yorkshire’s oldest care providers now operating five care facilities across Yorkshire.
