OTLEY’S Sainsbury’s store is re-uniting with one of its regular charity partners.

The supermarket is teaming up with Otley Action for Older People (OAOP) as part of the company’s national, 150th anniversary celebrations.

The store will be fundraising for the charity and supporting it in other ways over 150 days.

OAOP’s Project Manager, Sue Trainor, dropped in recently to collect a donation of wine, chocolate and other treats that will be used as raffle prizes at future fundraising events.

She said: “These will come in very useful and we are very grateful for Sainsbury’s support.”

OAOP has been Sainsbury’s local charity partner for the year on a number of previous occasions.

The organisation, which is part of the Leeds Neighbourhood Network Schemes, offers a range of support - including help with independent and healthy living - to older local residents. It also puts on a variety of activities for people in Otley, Pool-in-Wharfedale and Arthington.
