MORE than 7,000 people have visited the giant teepees in Ilkley's Riverside Gardens which have made another festive appearance in the lead up to Christmas

The teepees have been organised by Dan Lakin, director of Bar Events UK and Anthony Banks, of Ribbley Valley Group.

Admission is free and inside visitors can get tables and enjoy festive drinks, food and music.

There is a Santa's grotto for children.

The teepees were set up on December 7 and are open from Wednesday to Sunday until December 22.

"We have seen a lot of people come through so far and there has been a great atmosphere.

"Last year saw around 10,000 visiting."

The teepees look like a number of single ones from the outside but are joined to make one large space.
