THE inaugural concert of the Chamber Orchestra of Leeds takes place at St Margaret's Church, Horsforth on Saturday, October 6 at 7.30pm
Martin Binks is very well known as the long serving conductor and artistic director of Leeds Symphony Orchestra. His newly formed Chamber Orchestra of Leeds will give idiomatic interpretations of Haydn or Mozart symphonies, Vivaldi or Bach concertos, and much much more.
Renowned guitarist Craig Ogden is the soloist in Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez and Vivaldi's Concerto in D at Saturday's inaugural Concert. The programme also includes Mozart's Overture La Clemenza di Tito and Faure's delightful Masques et Bergamasques. Haydn's ebullient "London" Symphony No 104 in D ends the concert in grand style.
Tickets £12, children and students free.
Available on the door or from Leeds Town Hall Box Office Tel. 0113 376 0318 and MC Consumables, Horsforth, Tel 0113 258 5163.
