A firm owned by a Culling-worth couple has produced a special bike to celebrate the Tour coming to the region.

The bespoke cycle’s frame is coloured yellow, green, white and polka dot to tie in with the leaders’ jerseys in the world-famous race.

The bike – the creation of Pennine Cycles, run by Paul and Sandra Corcoran – is being loaned to Welcome to Yorkshire chief executive, Gary Verity, who will use it in the run-up to the Grand Depart.

Mr Corcoran said: “The bike is a celebration of the Grand Depart coming to Yorkshire, and it’s an honour Gary wanted to ride one of our cycles – we are sure it will make riding a pleasure for him.”

Mr Verity said: “It’s going to be great to get out there on this very unique Pennines Cycles bike, and the fact it has been designed with so much care and detail is fantastic.”
