Four cycling enthusiasts from the area took part in the Lord Mayor’s Show in London to promote the Tour de France’s visit to this region next summer.
Paul Corcoran, of Cullingworth, together with Mark Place, Tim Curtis and Paul Carter, joined tourism agency Welcome to Yorkshire at the showpiece event.
The quartet, part of the VC Bradford Pennine Cycles Club, also teamed up with five-times Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault.
“They were thrilled to be part of the show,” said Sandra Corcoran, who with her husband runs Pennine Cycles in Bradford, which specialises in providing racing frames and custom-built bikes across the world.
The Tour de France Grand Depart comes through Silsden, Keighley and the Worth Valley on July 6.
