A 19-year-old man has been fined and banned from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to drug driving in Ilkley.
Dylan Murgatroyd, 19, of Shuttle Fold, Haworth, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.
The offence occurred on May 8, 2020, when Murgatroyd drove an Audi A3 on Leeds Road, in Ilkley with cannabis in his blood, greater than seven micrograms of drug per litre of blood, exceeding the specified limit.
He was fined £250 and ordered to pay costs of £900 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services.
He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
The defendant's guilty plea taken into account when imposing sentence.
