A BRADFORD man has appeared in court after stealing meat from a city supermarket.
Stephen Toth, 37, of Haworth Road, was charged with stealing meat worth a total of £200 from the Aldi branch on Allerton Road, Bradford, on March 31, 2021.
He was ordered to pay £220 compensation for the offence when he appeared before Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on June 9, 2021.
He will pay the compensation at £20 per month from next month.
A victim surcharge was not imposed on Toth, who pleaded guilty to the charge, due to his limited means.
But Toth was not given a separate penalty for a further charge of stealing meat worth a total of £20 from the same branch of Aldi in Bradford on March 22, 2021.
He also pleaded guilty to this charge at the same court appearance.
