POLICE are investigating following a report of a shooting this afternoon.
Officers were scrambled to Clara Street, Huddersfield, just after 2.30pm.
A spokesperson said: "Armed officers attended and police scenes were established on Clara Street and nearby.
"A man was located who had suffered an injury. He is now being treated for an injuries described as serious but not believed to be life threatening.
"Enquiries remain ongoing to determine precisely what occurred and anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact Kirklees CID on 101 referencing police log 998 of June 11.
"Information can also be given online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat or anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity in 0800 555 111."
