A CORONER ruled a Bradford man found in Chellow Dean Wood died by suicide.
Bradford man Bilal Mazhar Ellahi, 27, a divorced delivery driver, died on March 15. His body was discovered by a member of the public.
In written evidence presented at the hearing on Tuesday, West Yorkshire Police PC Danielle Austin said she and PC Callum Stoyles were dispatched to the scene on 8.12am on March 15.
Although Mr Ellahi was 'cold to the touch' PC Austin attempted CPR but he was pronounced dead by paramedics at 8.29am.
In a statement read to the court by assistant coroner Crispin Oliver, Mr Ellahi's aunt Rabena Cosar said that he had been 'spending a lot of time on his phone and losing weight'. He also "didn't shower" and was "clearly depressed".
In his conclusion, Mr Oliver said that Mr Ellahi had "taken deliberate steps to end his own life".
The Samaritans can be called free at any time on 116 123.
