Yorkshire Building Society is to expand its network of cash machines after outsourcing their running to the UK subsidiary of the world’s largest independent operator of automatic teller machines.
Bradford-based YBS, the UK’s second-largest building society, has signed a deal with Bank Machine, the UK subsidiary of Cardtronics, to take over the operation of 20 cash machines.
The deal includes maintenance of the machines and cash delivery through Bank Machine’s transit company Green Team, which was launched last summer. The YBS contract is Bank Machine’s first in the managed services sector.
YBS’s Tony Poolan said: “We realise that our customers may require instant access to their savings and for this reason we recognise the importance of our ATM presence and service. With Bank Machine’s proven ability to deliver exceptional levels of customer service, they are ideal partners for the society.”
